JMCC - Extra-Curricular Activities

Jacob's Mission Community Center stands as a beacon of hope for low-income, at-risk students, providing a nurturing environment where their talents are discovered and cultivated through free out-of-school extracurricular activities. These programs are vital lifelines for these students, offering opportunities that transcend financial barriers. By engaging in diverse activities, these children and youth not only explore their potential but also develop critical life skills, boosting confidence and self-esteem. For low-income at-risk students, these programs serve as more than just avenues for talent discovery; they become transformative pathways towards breaking cycles of limited opportunities, offering a chance for personal growth, empowerment, and a brighter future despite the challenges they face daily.

Extra-Curricular Activities

Extracurricular activities such as dance, musical theater, art, piano, guitar, karate, yoga and cooking lessons give children and youth opportunities to develop talents and learn new ways to express themselves as they heal.

For the Spring Semester, we are offering twice a week after school Tutoring/Homework assistance. Each child in attendance may choose to attend one (1) extracurricular activity class, offered once a week. Please note that tutoring and/or an extra curricular activity are 45 minutes long.

Our Spring semester starts February 6th and ends May 3rd 2024.
